Process theology explores the spiritual implications of our contemporary scientific understanding of reality in evolutionary, relativistic, and entangled terms. It focuses on the processuality of becoming and replaces the outdated Aristotelian and Newtonian worldview. It offers instead an event-based ontology, originating from Alfred North Whitehead's seminal text Process & Reality.
Posthumanism is not to be understood as 'after' human. Rather, it critiques the 'humanist' tradition that makes humanity the purposive center of the cosmos, the exception to nature, the universal standard of value. Posthumanism explores the disruption of boundaries separating the human from the more-than-human and affirms the diversity of the living, evolving cosmos.
