Tools, Resources, and Guidance for Creative Visionaries
We seek to cultivate intentional practices, in our lives and in community with others, that will allow us to participate in the urgent movement(s) of our time: the collective evolution of modernity from a self-destructive, consumption-based political economy into planetary-wide ecological civilization.
This is the challenge of the 21st century—Ecological Civilization. The hope for our collective futures rests upon it. It falls to our generation to face this task, and we must not fail.
As such, we are committed to a form of hope that is expressed in action. We will not merely curse the darkness; We will light candles and we will join hands with others in the work.
These are ideas that fuel our imagination and guide our work.
If you would like to learn more about these topics, we have created this website as a place to channel our creative energies in this area and make resources available for others to take and do likewise.
As we learn, and as we build, we will share.
It is, of course, a humble and small beginning, and forever a work in process. Wherever possible, we will offer tools and ideas up into the creative commons, and we welcome the opportunity to connect with others who are pouring their energies out in similar directions. Most of our energy is currently focused on the role that local entrepreneurs play in building communities of creativity, care, and resilience. We understand entrepreneurship to be the art of applied creativity and a form of sustained response to the needs of the world. Through local entrepreneurship we see the opportunity to build the kind of economies of mutuality that can bring the Beloved Community to life in our time. As such, we believe local entrepreneurship plays an important role as one of the “praxeologies” of Ecological Civilization.
